The new single from Acid Coco is a hymn to the woman who believes in the power of her hands, her mind and her body. "Soy La Fuerza" (“I Am The Force”) is about motherhood, sisterhood and being in constant connection to that which gives us life, capturing the energy that inextricably unites woman with the earth. Through these connections, the protagonist finds harmony, common ground, sustenance. It’s a message completely at odds with the world at large, the absurd wars being waged against humanity (and especially against women).

Andrea expresses forcefully in the chorus “soy madre, soy hembra, soy hija, soy raíz” (“I am a mother, I am a female, I am a daughter, I am a root”), while Paulo's music takes us through warm, nostalgic Afro-Caribbean lands. This song was composed remotely, in an environment dictated by limits, and perhaps it’s for this reason that the duo decided to assert their humanity by breaking down all the borders that are imposed on it. In the video we see Andrea walking freely through the city; she is returning to universal origins, opening windows to life when the situation that looms over our cities offers no encouragement. The song and video offer a message to rescue what we are connected to as human beings, the earth, the legacy of women in any civilization. And to do that, we need power, we need la fuerza.
